This style of construction is popular for application over traditional substrates as well as in panelised form, lightweight steel walling (SFS), unitised cladding and on timber for ventilated cavity facades. Various aluminium support systems are available for ceramic granite, porcelain cladding and glazed clay tile facades in a rainscreen façade format.

Terracotta tile cladding is available in modular formats up to 300mm in height and 625mm in length in thirteen colours. Porcelain rainscreen façade systems are similarly available in 300mm to 1200mm formats with ceramic glazed terracotta tiles in 300mm by the same length.

A collaboration with Alsecco for their Airtec Glass and Stone facades was launched in February 2008. Airtec can be made in lightweight composite stone and glass panels to a maximum dimension of 1200 x 3200mm.

Steel walling is the most popular construction background for architectural terracotta, glazed ceramic and porcelain rainscreens in the creation of façade systems for envelope cladding, structural walling, retrofit and refurbishment. Eisenberg Argeton was selected for unitised terracotta facades on the Atlantic terminal in Brooklyn, USA and a contract has recently been awarded for a prefabricated façade in Cambridge with Argeton terracotta rainscreens.
